New ultra high pressure pump for waterjet cutting with 6,200 bar
The high-performance STREAMLINE PRO-I 125 ultra high pressure pump from KMT Waterjet is now available. The unit generates a cutting pressure of 6,200 bar. With a motor power of 125 HP (93kW), the pump produces a maximum volumetric flow of 5.4 litres per minute. This makes it for example possible to simultaneously operate two cutting heads with 0.25 mm nozzles at a pressure of 6,200 bar. Alternatively, the unit can be run with a single cutting head and a nozzle diameter of 0.38 mm to cut extremely thick materials.

Abrasive cutting head ACTIVE IDE II redesigned
The installation design of the diamond orifice has been remanufactured. The new construction is responsible for the improved alignment of the waterjet which increases the lifetime of the the replacement parts. The permanent waterjet improves the quality of the cutting edge, reduces roughness and avoids expensive waste of material.

New pre-filter helps reduce the operating costs for cutting heads
The service life of the orifices in the cutting heads is primarily determined by the quality of the cutting water. Optimised water quality also protects pivot joints, control valves and seals in the high-pressure adapter, ensuring that they can be used for longer. Dirt particles in the water lead to abrasion and corrosion on many high-pressure components. The quality of the cutting water is one of the key factors determining the service life and performance of high-pressure parts in waterjet cutting units. Please contact us for an overview of the current water quality standards.
