Abrasive cutting heads
ACTIVE AUTOLINE™ PRO
Specially designed for waterjet cutting with up to 6200 bar. The design and the materials used in the product can withstand huge forces while focussing the energy to the point where it is needed, namely the cutting jet. The typical features of KMT Waterjet products based on the innovative approach to efficiency and economy in continuous operation have thus been successfully integrated into the design of the company's latest development.
ACTIVE IDE™ PRO
Specially designed for waterjet cutting with up to 6200 bar. As the cutting head contains only a small number of individual components, it is particularly easy to handle and produces high-precision cuts. The key features of the ACTIVE IDE PRO are the precisely aligned cutting jet and the pre-filter protecting the orifice. The unit is also virtually maintenance-free. To achieve a perfect cutting jet, all you need to do is exchange the focussing tube.
ACTIVE AUTOLINE™ II
For cutting applications with up to 4137 bar. The modular design of the ACTIVE AUTOLINE™ II allows for fast tool-free replacement of the main wear parts such as the orifice including the mixing chamber and the focussing tube. Precise automatic cutting jet positioning, high cutting speeds and perfect cutting edge quality are the main features of this tried and tested cutting head.

Pure water cutting head
AQUALINE I
Pure water cutting is normally performed at much higher cutting speeds than abrasive cutting. The advantages of the AQUALINE I come particularly to the fore when cutting composites, which are used widely in the automotive and aerospace industries. Foams, sealants, plastics and even food products are typically cut with pure water jets. These applications pose special requirements as regards the opening and closing times as well as the service life of switching valves. With the AQUALINE I, KMT Waterjet Systems offers a product that shows extremely good and consistent results in this regard.
Pure water and abrasive cutting
Pure water cutting is primarily used to cut soft materials. Textiles, elastomers, leather, foamed products, fibres, plastics, foodstuff and even paper can be cut with pure water at pressures of up to 4136 bar. When focused through a diamond and sapphire orifices, the waterjet thereby reaches speeds of about 800 to 1000 m/s at the nozzle tip, catering for high cutting speeds.
With abrasive waterjet cutting, a fine-grain abrasive is added to the waterjet in the mixing chamber of the cutting head. The mixture of water, air and abrasive is then focussed in the focussing tube to form a highly powerful jet exiting the head at great speed. This highly effective and constant cutting jet can then be used to cut materials such as metals, ceramics, hard stone and safety glass of various thickness.
